Mission Council

About the Mission Council

The Mission Council is charged with providing leadership to the campus community and counsel to the President on the vision for, quality of, and extent to which we as a community support Catholic Social Teaching and the works of Vincent dePaul, Mother Elizabeth Seton and Louise de Marillac in our work together, with and on behalf of our students and also those who visit the campus.

The Council recommends and develops programs, assesses our strength of commitment to action across the campus and constituencies, and advances the Gospel as a way of being for all.

Goals and Initiatives

Goal #1: To promote awareness of the Vincentian/Setonian charism across campus.
Goal #2: To provide opportunities for service and reflection in order to internalize the mission for the entire campus community.
Goal #3: To provide support and be a resource for the ongoing living out of the mission.
Who We Are

Founded in 1899 by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, the College of Saint Elizabeth has a strong tradition of concern for the poor, for developing leadership in a spirit of service and social responsibility, and a commitment to the promotion of women as full partners in society.
