Orientation - Undergraduate

Fall Orientation: August 16-18, 2018

Undergraduate Orientation is a three-day, two-night program designed to welcome new students to the CSE community and help them make a smooth transition to the College. Carefully planned sessions offer a range of information and perspectives on life at CSE and provide resources and information that will be particularly helpful during the first months on campus. All new students are expected to participate in Orientation before classes begin.

It is important for students to arrive on time everyday.

Thursday, August 16, 2018 – 8AM-9PM

The first day of Orientation begins with check in at Mahoney Library – Lower Level. Following check-in, resident students will move into their respective residence halls. Residents can check in and move in from 8:00am – 10:30am. Commuter students can check in from 10:00am – 11:00am. There will be activities and planned sessions throughout the day.

Parent & Family Orientation

Parent & Family Orientation will take place on Thursday, August 16 from 11:00am – 6:00pm, and will include lunch. Topics include:

Friday, August 17, 2018 – 8AM-9PM

The second day of Orientation begins at 8:00am. Students will be off campus for part of the day to attend a lunch cruise at the Spirit of New Jersey, and should dress appropriately as representatives of CSE. There will be activities and planned sessions throughout the remainder of the day.

Saturday, August 18, 2018 – 8AM-2PM

The third day of Orientation will begin at 8:00am. There will be activities and planned sessions throughout the day based on our mission and values. Students will be going into the local community for service learning opportunities.
